Plain Pursuit by Beth Wiseman

The book starts out with Carley going to visit a friend,Lillian, in the Amish country. She has a priority of working on an article about the Amish, but when she gets there she soon gets brought in to the life and learns more about how they live and thinks less of the article she plans to write.
She meets, and becomes involved with Dr. Noah when there is an illness in the family she's visiting. He has been shunned by the community and she sets out to change that.
Throughout the story you find out more about how the Amish live, what their beliefs are and why they feel the way they do. You also find out why the growing relationship Carley has with Noah is not one that will be easily accepted.
I really enjoyed the story. It is very well written, and does a great job of drawing the reader into the story. You really wanted to know more about the families and the lifestyle.
I recommend this book highly and look forward to reading more books by this author

Healing Sands

This was a wonderful book. You start out getting to know Ryan and learn about her life, how she feels and what she does. The book takes you through her "anger issues" to a deeper level about her thoughts. You really gain a good insight on her, and therefore can relate your own life to hers.

As she turns to the Healing Choices clinic to get help, you meet Sully and see how he helps Ryan, and himself in the process. I love the fact that it has you leaning on and turning to God for ultimate "help". I would definitely recommend this book to others. I can't wait to read the other books in the series!
